In response to the ongoing Federal Government Shutdown, MSEFCU is upholding the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” by offering a special loan program designed to provide temporary financial relief to eligible members.
Federal Government Shutdown Assistance Loan*
Loan Amount: Up to one month’s net pay, verified by direct deposit to MSEFCU. (Not to exceed the maximum loan amount of $6,000)
Term: Up to 60 days (Single payment due at term end)
Rate: 0% APR

This loan is intended to help members bridge the gap during this period of financial uncertainty, offering peace of mind with no interest and a short-term repayment structure.
How to Apply:
Visit a branch, call (209) 383-5550 x141 or 142, or schedule an appointment with a Loan Officer.
*This special loan program is available beginning October 8, 2025, and is intended to support members affected by the Federal Government Shutdown. Loans are offered on a case-by-case basis for a maximum term of 60 days with a 0% APR and a single repayment. Eligible members may borrow up to one month’s net pay, not to exceed $6,000. Proof of pay affected by the government shutdown is required, and pay must be verified by direct deposit to MSEFCU.
