Help Your Kids Manage Money

It’s never too early to start learning how to manage your finances. In fact, the earlier the better.  Set the children in your life up for financial success by opening their very own account.  We offer two types of youth accounts to meet your young saver's needs as they grow.  Begin with a Smart Start savings account, then graduate to a Dollars and Cents account once they’re ready to start making spending decisions on their own.

Smart Start Youth Account

Teach the children in your life to be savvy savers with their own savings account.  With the Smart Start program, children 10 and under won’t just get an interest earning account, they’ll also get a FREE Piggy Bank, FREE access to the Coin Sorter, and M3 Money Club – an educational website for kids!  If they’re going to take on the world someday, they’ll need the funds to do it.

Smart Start Account Features:
• Savings Account Only
• Interest Earning Savings Account
• Deposit Slips
• Free MSEFCU Piggy Bank or Cinch Backpack
• Fee Free Access to the Coin Sorter
• Term Savings with a $1,000 Minimum Opening Balance
• M3 Money Club – Educational Website for Kids

M3 Money Club

Every Smart Start account comes with access to M3 Money club for kids, a financial education website designed for children 7-12 years old.  It’s packed with games, comics, cartoons and podcasts all to help teach vital financial skills to kids in a way that’s fun and engaging.  M3 even has a section for parents that has lots of ideas on how we can help prepare our kids for financial success.
